Intro to Coding teaches foundational skills in web development with HTML and CSS. Over six weeks, you will create web pages as a form of creative expression using the code editor as a design tool. In hands-on workshops, you will participate in discussions surrounding internet history and respond to creative prompts via coding on the web. Expect weekly classes where you will interact with like-minded individuals and participate in an activity-driven learning environment. These need-based scholarships will go to the candidates who best demonstrate why they should be chosen for the free spot to our class based on the following criteria:

  • Belong to groups that are traditionally underrepresented in the graphic design and creative industries
  • Do not have jobs that would pay for these courses as professional development
  • Cannot independently afford the class at list price
