Imagine Tokyo underground film and music as an endless corridor lined with anonymous doors. This event picks two doors at random to see what's behind. Set, produced, and created by Japanese-American filmmakers in Tokyo, both featured shorts interpret the city through a metamodernist lens. They inspect all of its paradoxes and ironies through oft-unnoticed characters and liminal spaces. Beyond just a presentation of Tokyo indie film to New York, we hope to create more connections between the two cities. Makers and fans of all arts are invited to join.
