Hybrid course at Index NYC and on Zoom

Welcome! By landing on this page, you've received a digital invitation from the universe to take your creativity to a new, more abundant level. This will be our third cohort at Index, and over the last two, we’ve manifested some very cool and very real things. We’re talking new careers, early retirements, confidence through the roof, limitless self-love, homes abroad, deep relationships, getting rich off our art, and a beautiful community that continues to uplift and inspire each other to shine as our true artistic selves in our everyday lives.

The Artist’s Way is a book designed to unlock your creative potential through tried-and-true exercises and a bit of manifestation magic. But Artistic Alchemy is much more than a book club. We’re a collective, and your membership is valid indefinitely.

During the course, we meet once a week to work through The Artist’s Way. We'll discover more about ourselves and who we want to be, while also developing bonds and fostering new creative relationships. Some weeks, we’ll have guest speakers for extra inspiration, and other weeks, we’ll dive into special activities like meditative birdwatching or zine-making. We check in daily and use our vibrant digital community (a WhatsApp Group) to hold each other accountable and create space for what comes up through the course and beyond. Additionally, you’ll meet with Ella for 1:1 creative coaching sessions to help you conjure, set, and achieve your creative goals.

You can join us IRL at Index in NYC, or dial in via Zoom. We’ve found a method that seamlessly integrates our digital and in-person cohorts. And if you’re usually with us IRL but traveling that week, you can join digitally and stay accountable to your practice.

Beyond the course we continue to chat it up, share our success and ask for support in the digital community, meet for dinner parties world wide, and continue to make magic together.

Format

On Wednesday Nights from 7pm – 9pm ET we’ll gather at Index and we’ll cast those joining on Zoom into the room.

Each meeting is designed to reflect on the previous week and map out the one ahead. Highlights and discussion points from the book (and Ella’s bespoke syllabus) are presented in slides and the floor is always open to discussion. Participants then break into smaller groups with prompts to dive deeper, repeating the process for the upcoming week. Some sessions may include activities that complement the week’s lesson (vision boarding!) or feature alumni for Q&A discussions (and reiki!).

The book is structured around three main elements:

  1. Morning Pages: A daily practice of writing three pages of stream-of-consciousness upon waking up. Designed to clear your mind, overcome creative blocks, and tap into your subconscious thoughts and ideas.
  2. Artist's Dates: Weekly outings or activities that you schedule with yourself for yourself to nurture yourself. Think: a trip with a sketchpad to the botanical gardens, time set aside to read poetry, or even microdosing at The Met.
  3. Weekly Readings and Tasks: THIS is where the magic happens, IMHO! Each week a set of specific concepts, tools, and tasks are introduced to guide you through self-discovery and creative exploration. These readings and tasks help you identify and overcome creative challenges, confront self-doubt, and foster a deeper connection with your artistic side.

Instructor Bio

Ella Fitch is a creative spiritualist living between Brooklyn, NY, and Venice, Italy. She’s produced documentaries, commercials, political campaigns, music festivals, experiential events, websites, apps, a few hundred meals at the soup kitchen, countless dinner parties, and probably a thousand tiny poems. All this has made her an expert at shepherding creative visions from concept to completion, which is exactly what she does as a creative coach for your projects!

She gets carried away talking about the connection between quantum physics and spirituality, dogs, harnessing creativity to manifest your desires, Carl Jung, food sovereignty, how Venice glows under a full moon, Anthony Bourdain, and the democratization of art.

You can grab a copy of her recent book of poems at Index, view a list of awards she’s received on her website, and click here to book her as your creative coach.
